and what does it say for Erik when he hangs out with the intellectual equivalent of a back yard 10 year old with is new found boner and can of gold spray paint.
i will thank you all to stay on topic...
I heard some talking meat puppet on Fox news the other day compare these two hurricanes to Sept. 11th. Ree-cock-you-lus! We didn't see the two planes until it was much too late, but hurricanes travel, under radar supervision, @ 12 mph and they come every year. You really mean to tell me that we don't have a prepared plan of any kind? I love my country, but this is embarrassing.
i'll tell you what it says for me... that i am a great guy that doesnt judge people and loves people for who they are inside and how they treat others and myself
i am love... and light too
hey,
i can't hear the file on this one (i am in MAC-HELL).. so i am speaking completely out my ass. i dont think its that americans love chaos... although that sounds close. i think it's that americans live in denial of reality and that chaotic events force us to confront reality for a few weeks and act accordingly.... until we can deny reality again. i think we live in a culture of choice (overwhelming choice and distraction) and we live in a way that insulates us from seing the world as it is (which is in fact pretty chaotic).
and so we dont deal with things like nature, poverty, and death until it explodes in our faces... (that's the chaos that pushes us into reality). i think in that reality we start to see our selves in relation to a more global context.
i hope i dont sound like a pseudo intellectual.... i teach predocs a class on existential death anxiety so i spend time thinking about this crap every now and then. also, i just got out of the shower and am still in a towel... why am i reading your site naked????
N.
p.s., slover is a chinese hobag.
light love naked?
That isn't a completely whacked analysis. A number of Nazi generals complained that the Americans were very difficult to fight against, since their well thought out plans always went to s*** immediately, and they then fought out of a posture of chaos and improvisation, which seemed a much more comfortable environment to them. (Anybody who has relied on me to follow a cue sheet and lead a group ride knows this experience.)
The Germans, reared on Clausewitze and the Prussian methods of reducing operational activities to a logistical science, found the resulting unpredictability and fluidity maddening and difficult to defend against.
And as for Mr. Franco American... perhaps he should stick to Chef Boy-ar-Dee.
