Santino got pwned alright. Franky, his collection was safe and incredibly underwhelming, Daniel's even moreso. Some of his stuff looked like department store crap. Chloe was the only one who showed any sort of point-of-veiw. All of them pale in comparison to what Jay did last year. It was a shocker, I always thought Santino would win, but he got what he deserved.
1) they obviously wanted the winner to be a shock and either daniel or santino would not have been a shock. also, another "punky" dude winner would just be seen as another jay.
2) the judges excuse for not picking saninos line, even though it was obviously superior to the other two, was so lame. too safe? it was beautiful stuff that totally looked "santino" and original and all worked together as a line!
3) daniel's stuff was okay but was a little all over the place and just ended up looking like ralph loren.
4) chloe's stuff looked crazy chinese with all the heavy shiny silks and puffy shit. i can't understand how they seriously picked her based on that.
5) they shouldn't have guest judges on the finale. they should have tim gunn. i really want to hear his reaction to the lines and to the results. and if they are going to have a guest judge, have it be someone a little more invested in the fashion industry than an actress from a tv show.
I just didn't see it, and I was pissed that they told Santino every show to tone it down, so he does- makes a slick final show, and they ding him for toning it down! HUH? Nina and Michelle need their heads hit with a large object, passive aggressive flakes that they are. Slover- can we get a Juanathon cry count on last year's Blow Out?
well yeah... he is apperently in a dispute with PR around his refusing the contract with them after project runway... he didnt take the prizes becuase he didnt like the deal... good on jay for not getting screwed over... the pay-off never comes if you are always getting screwed...
maybe its better that there is no project jay... it would probably have been more of the same reality crap where they make it all up... and not about jay and how he succeeds in the business despite not taking his bad deal from the show...
