CPA considering legal action against Pound?

pound is a tactless jackass, yes.. but what a bunch of little bitches in the riders assiciation!...

pound says:
"This drug use is not the accidental ingestion of a tainted supplement by an individual athlete," Pound said. "It is planned and deliberate cheating, with complex methods, sophisticated substances and techniques, and the active complicity of doctors, scientists, team officials and riders. There is nothing accidental about it. All this cheating goes on under the supposedly watchful eyes of cycling officials, who loudly proclaim that their sport is drug-free and committed to remaining so. Based on performance, they should not be allowed outdoors without white canes and seeing-eye dogs."

pretty funny if you ask me...

i mean seriously... what in this statement is so controversial?... and why are euro pro bikers such little bitches to whine and say 'you are hurting our feelings'.. well you little skinny bobble heads, the truth hurts... suck it up...

what in this statement of pound's is libelous?... i dont get it... somebody in the CPA needs to get a clue and just let this kind of thing ride... you just cant knee jerk react to every time somebody says something you dont like just because you dont like it... these cpa guys gotta think a bit about this shit before they shoot off like a bunch of spoiled snotty nose children...

Erik, I think they are worried about it hurting the sport and scaring away potential sponsors, in turn few jobs, dont you? Its like Burger King would be pissed if the president of the FDA made a public statement saying that all burger king employees spit in the cheeseburgers and the Shift managers knew all about it and deny it,especially if he has no proof. It would hurt their business whether true or not.

true.. but in such a case as this it is important to operate from a position of strength and authority... not be a little reactionary bitch whining all the time when people say something... to be in a defensive position you have already lost...

if we only hear from cpa when they make some ineffctual silly threats in reaction to some bombastic remark made by pound or some member fo the press it looks bad for them.. we should hear from them regularly on their terms speaking on their issues...

but one thing we have learned from any doping case anywhere is that people DONT CARE and any way that it does hurt the sport things seem always to rebound.. becuase doping isnt the true story of cycling or any other sport... people wont turn away and i defy anyone to name one sport that has been destroyed by any scandal...

my point is:

DONT BE A BUNCH OF LITTLE BITCHES CRYING ABOUT YOURE GONNA SUE SOMEBODY...

yeah.. and now since healthnet is "professional" ask the uci about your retirement fund... and ask them how big it is since you have ben paying 7 percent into it since you were in the WVA team.. you didnt get a piece then because the team was d3, but now that you are legit after 3 years of being in d3 teams did they set your money aside?... what does the CPA have to say about that?

better not make a public statement about that or they will sue you...

I looked it up once and I think one has to be D2 and up for 5 or 7 years to see that money. It's ridiculous that you have to pay for the Euro's retirement at a loss to your prize money. There should be separation for the "America's Tour" and retirement money collected at UCI races here should go to riders that race here, D3 and up. I don't like unions much these days but I suppose this would be one issue that Lieswyn could have addressed if the rider union came about.

no body of authority will catch a doped athlete unless they want to- or if they feel they need to.
Euro riders whine beacuse the culture of cycling is steeped in a culture of doping- anyone who says otherwise is either a fool or an idealist.

thats why to me its so stupid the whole thing with the doping and the way the riders look at at... the only people that are hurt by it are the riders who ruin their health and their mental well being.. and the riders who die early or suddenly as result of the complications of drug use... and teh CPA can only threaten to sue pound?... its such a joke to me that they seem to have a history of actions that seek to stiffle public comment and debate on an issue that affects the riders almost exclusively and uniquely... i just dont understand what their gig is...

I don't think they do either- both sides. One sees it as a means to an end, the other sees the need for it to end- but neither side are willing to take the necessary steps to stop doping. It seems like a self perpetuating connundrum.
