i have thought for a while that the the concept behind cars like the element and xb will have to make their way up the scale in the coming years... these two cars have a level of functionality , ergonomic comfort , and style that is desirable to today's life and sensibilities...

vans are great.. the element is pretty much a van...
spartan... and in that way stylish... i find the looks to be aggressive and sportful... not like a ford gt40.. but still cool...
also i like the smart roadster.. i saw one in LA... it looked super hot...
Ah, that Smart Roadster is a great industrial design sondwiched on top of 800lbs. of metal and a Mercedes designed scooter motor.
I so want to like it but, at least on the European one, the electrically controlled gear box sucks the big one. Other than that, lots o' fun.
I told you that you love your Element! This thing looks like it'll be my next car. Gez man, you and Slover always cramping my style. Now buy some socks!

Please don't get Nad Boy started on his Element...

Love my xB but it is under powered. With two bikes on the roof and it's not too happy. Milage not as advertised but still @ 30mpg. Much better than the Mercury Mystake it replaced.
I'm surprised that more starving semi-pros don't drive them. $14k (pre-pimped) with just about all you need.
Don't like the look of the Element. DUnno why, you's think that boxy is boxy.
Uncle Bruce
i almost got an xb but i opted for the element in the end because it was bigger and i can roll my whole bike right in over the tailgate and close it up without having to take a wheel off or anything... i hate taking my bike apart...
i drove the xb and i was really impressed with how much fun it was... its like a little go cart... we will end up needing a second car and i will look hard at the xa, xb, and honda fit...
by today's standards the element is under powered as well... but the utility and fuel economy outweighs the lack of performance... but for me 0-60 doesnt mean anything... as long as it goes 80 on the highway i am fine... and most cars can do that ok... you dont get much performance out of a prius either... but thats not why people buy those... when i started researching cars i went into it thinking that i could get a car like the element that got 35mpg and did 0-60 in 8 seconds... right... we really do want it all...
Hey Turbo, you know you love the Element too!
Erik, you need the K&N intake on your Element. You'll get a little more top end power.
