Emory, like I said before:
I so want to like it but, at least on the European one, the electrically controlled gear box sucks the big one. Other than that, lots o' fun.

I'm 6'3" and had no issues with the standard 2-seater Smart car.

erik post the site showing the new CHEV IMPALA SS ... now thats a real ride . Not sure how smart it would be to actually buy a SMART CAR ..and keep rocking that STASH buddie .

Motorcycles are faster, sure, but I get roadrash enough as it is...

Besides, other than the Ducatti painted tubing and all the shit whitetrash choppers painted in colors that just shouldn't exist in metal-flake, where's the industrial design panache?

KTM 600. whaaaaaat?

Oooo, those are nice. I would concede to you but I am a stubborn ignorant asshole like the rest of Erik's blog readers and so I will declare myself the winner of this debate on the grounds that the KTM600 still does not have as much square footage of industrial design goodness as a coupe.

with 4 wheels its harder to lay down.. or say low side...

erik saunders said...

they do a smart for 4 with 177bhp... which is pretty good...

how much power do you lose through the drivetrain any way?

the new comaro is bad ass...

i think even better than a smart for me is a 50cc scooter... in NC no insurance no registration.. all the function of a small car... less $$$...

I always like Norton Motorcycles...and we had killer times on Mike's Triumph Sprint 944! Chicks love guys on fast bikes. That's for sure!! (even though the Norton may not qualify as 'fast", they are classy!)

KTM's are pretty bad-ass. I think that's what Mike wants to get next...

Fast bicycles are the best though.

i didn't check out the smart4. 177hp is plenty in a little car, though, you do loose probably 15-20% at the wheels, not many manufacturers claim whp anyway, they mostly use flywheel hp.

i'd drive one of those cars if they were cheaper. 16k pounds, what is that in real money right now? like $20k-ish?

ah, yeah. the ktm superduke is a damn fine bike too. i think chris foster needs to get one of those, so, i can low side it a few times...

FstrBlly said...

Parke- true that.
I really prefer Lambrettas, but that's just me. I like the Italian syling. My brother in law has one that goes 80 mph!

Parke- true that.

Which part, the ignorant asshole bit or the square footage bit?

Nevermind, I think I know the answer.

FstrBlly said...

Parke- the square footage part! sorry.
I wonder though, if moto design isn't really 85% tank design, although some, like Confederate's motos, are sick as.
