i am thinking about this seriously.. i am drafting a document.. but it doesnt matter if USA CYCLING doesnt get on some promotion for it... i think they dont really care about the NRC...
maybe a national calendar isnt a good way to do things anyway... maybe its better to have stand alone events that are not promoted in a centralized way... better that way that you dont have to rely on the feds to do it...
fuck it.. its all going down.. i am racing in an industrial park tomorrow... old school roots racing... thats where its at... one last weekend of false sense of security before the NRC starts...

Remember the days of Tim Tyler 10 grand crits? shit those were good paying races. i dont care if it is NRC or QVC as long as the payout is good!
Well the domestic cycling scene got 2 wins at the T.O.C..?
(what ever is Hanedo-?)
Health nut got the DOOR SHUT! must be to early in the year?
but what about the euro's looking so strong? do they have
more motivation to train in the off season or is it the
money? Both??
Hincapie looks skinny and strong, and KGSN looks the same, 3
riders finish
and the rest pack it up? If your hungry for the pro contract
i would think you would want to be in shape to get noticed
by another Euro team.! NO..?
your thoughts e-rok
i was saying today how hard it is for a USA guy to get into the kind of shape that it would take to seriously contest a race like this...
there was a lot of good teams that rode well here.. even amongst the best of the best its hard to destroy a race alone when there are two or three teams that have ideas that are different than yours...
its so spectacular to see a race be destroyed a al armstrong because it rarely happens...
USA riders going well?... JJ, jackie, bjm.. they all went really well and were quite agressive... i think its the best than can be expected of anybody... if teh top top dogs couldnt do it to landis then that tells you it wasnt possible...
with the GC so tight all teh way down every day was a GC day if the teams didnt ride... so in a shorter race that isnt that selective you would expect to see less leash extended and high speeds... i dont think any break ever got more than 3:30 all week.. that tells you something... i think that to have a serious chance at anything the groups would have to have been bigger or given more time than 3:30...
candelario also showed some nice form
that last day was flat and the break of 4 had 7 minutes... and in the flats in a long break you cant stay away from the feild that wants a field sprint.... 2 mintes per 10km in the flats is completely doable to make up, not a problem... so 40km to go and you have 4 minutes after an all day effort, you probably get caught...
