project runway...

andre is gone...

i was really happy that he kept it together on the runway... he was totally fucking robbed the challenge before... and then he got ejected.. just like zulema who threw down the show before she got cut too...

thats why i like this show.. its about what you produce on the day, not what you have done before, and not who likes you, and how well you play with the other contestants.. you dont get voted off or anything by the others like survivor...

nick, i have to say is a puss... i like him before.. but since he got his model took he just hasnt been the same...

i like kara to go home next... it would be normal.. since after teetering she killed it in the last challenge and now must be canned like daniel and zulema... kara pulled the high and outside dangle then dove over 4 down the stretch to catch daniel napping.. a nice move worthy of respect... its great to see the text book move you expect in an elimination- but done big like kara did it... i suspend my racsism against south africans for her... and jopie joffers wherever you are...

i liked zulema- (her website) a lot.. and i like santino... to win i like daniel

i like santino, daniel, and chloe for the last 3...

and i really liked daniel franco.. but he was gone early... i didnt like him to win.. but he was cool...

go to the website and see the exit interviews

daniel is going to win it. he's already taken four challenges and is it just me or does no one else see that the 30-something designers who have been eeking out a shitty career in LA aren't going to be picked to be the next top designer??? if it was going to happen, it would have happened already! i'm sorry, santino is great, but not commercial enough. nick just makes the type of club clothes that every other crap designer in LA makes for the coked up celebritants. and neither of those chicks has shown real, sustained creativity.

e-rok, kudos to you for gaying up the cycling world even more by bringing this show to the forefront. bravo!

uh.. its easier to read the bios on the website... i will google more later...

i am not going to be so quick to shit on these people.. it seems that some of them are established prefessionals in the industry... not everybody can be a top designer... by defenition...

obviously they let some people in just to get cut... and they purposely put in bad models...after the first few episodes we were down to people who did actually have something to offer...

apparently a designer doesnt have to know all aspects of producing garments in a virtuoso way...

koors dont sew his own shit thats for sure...

so a lot of these otherwise capable people look bad in the show because they lack strength in key areas of production... like marla who cant sew... add into this that they get 6 hours to pull together a piece of clothing...

this format (as a game.. i cant say how closely this follows real life in teh fashion industry) gives an advantage to people who have a wide experience in different aspects of making clothes.. and to talented students who can articulate their vision and who are used to dead lines and structure and having to do their own production start to finish...

it reminds me of national ID camp at the OTC...

As an ex-art school frisbee-head, Runway is an awesome throwback. What they are missing is the endless rambling peer critique sessions. Plus, they would have to get half the participants loaded to make it authentic.

Project Runway is the best show on TV after 'Lost'. My wife got me hooked on it and now I love Wednesday nights. I think Nick will win just because of what anonymous said above- he makes club clothes and that's what designers do is make people fashionable clothes for a lifestyle that they can't be in but would like to think they can. Just listen to how Heidi K. talks up Michelle Kors- clothing deisigner for the Jet Set of America? who's that? the Bush twins?
