yeah.. i came all the way out here and we didnt get to race... so i was pretty bummed.. but i tried to not let it ruin my day...
its just how it goes i guess... 5 guys and we need 6 to start.. no team manager at the national championships to handle this stuff... what can you do... i spend the morning with the head uci commisaire and he was willing to help us out to the extent of the rules... i appreciate that a lot but in the end we just werent here ready to take things seriously and conduct business like a PRO team is supposed to.. what can i say?... this was also my last real opportunity to make a result before the end of the year... so it really gets to me...

Damn, no one to pick there that needed a ride with a team? And no manager? How does that happen?
That sucks. I was actually at the race and wondering why none of you guys were in it. Before it started I saw you walking around in street clothes and I wondered what was up. I actually thought the Pro/Am race was more exciting anyway. hey if you had had an extra jersey I would have raced with you ( I prabably would have lasted half a lap but hey at least you would have gotten in.)
Oh about your bass, try a Sans Amp pedal. Its like a bass pre-amp pedal that gives it more punch. All the guys in my old bands used em The last guy I played with used one of those with an Ampeg tube head and an 8x10 cap. sounded great and had a versitale sound. He could really sculpt the tone with the pedal, although that is prabably a bit more sound then you need and it was a pain to move around.
its just as well dude, i was gonna dip you out in that last turn anyway just for being a putz...just kidding, man that sucks about you not getting into the race, i thought I saw you on the side when we were linging up. you know what you need to do, you need to get on a real team, take a pay cut and suck it up for a year or two on a team with some management, and dinero! you wanna grow, get off these no name teams with no name guys. take charge, get on a team with some prize money potential and you can make what your making now or better, thats the secret. If your going back to the east coast to live, im sure the 'gators got room, call beaman up and say Hey! Im hear to roll! take care buddy, keep on spinnin 'em.

Erok-cock- you suck, always makin excuses..."there were too many of them", "my guy didn't show", "the facility sucked", "I got boxed", "they jumped me"--- dude get real, qucik your arrogant smack talk and jive turkey, bass playin pimp talk shit and get on your bike dumbass, do you hear that, GET ON YOUR BIKE! Quit blamin for your woes, you are responsible for yourself, shit or get off the pot dude. your suckin the past couple a years--
Jump shit. Aren't you suppose to be on a pro team?

Bike racers are awesome with their shit talk. It's the most hateful sport. I love how people talk shit about small pro teams. Have some compassion. Not everybody can get a sponsor behind them with hundreds of thousands (or more), and somebody to be at every race running the show. Cycling is hard; just about anybody who reads this site should know that. There is no reason to be so spiteful. Seriously ya'll... tighten up.

oppsss.. that is a f-up! who is the D.S.?
Dear Erik,
We were there and I was truly bummed that you were not riding. Pate was a little down too. We figure that since McCook helped you in Waukesha you owed him one! Could have really paid off for the 2" he needed to win this one. Once we get our act together we'll put together a dominant group, just hope it's before you all retire!
Dude, you don't come to someone's site, check in and browse around, then bag on them and call them names. You don't have to agree with what you read, but have some tact. You wanna bag on someone, grow some rocks, build your own site, publish it with yourname.com, and talk smack all you want. I seriously think you need to ease up on the menthol chamois cream. The vapors are causing you some brain damage.
E- That is really sad. There is nothing worse than watching a race you are supposed to be in.

Mike and I kept looking for you guys in the results! Rats. The DS for this team has a full time "other" job and running a Pro team is a full time job too---only there isn't alot of money involved. No reason to diss on the DS. But it does suck that he flew everybody over and no one got to race. I like your candid Blog...it's my style too...though a private talk with the DS might be smarter...spoken from my own experience. Ride on Erik!
Competition is by teams only and shall be composed of a maximum of 10 riders and no less than 6 riders in order to start.
It is an unfortunate situation when a rider chooses not to get on the plane and screw the rest of the team
Again, good job by the officials/federation/organization. Sticking by your rules is the most important thing in bike racing. Of course, it's not important if you're the head of a major country. Yep, nice perspective. So, the race was the inverse of track nats: instead of over populating the race with one team to make it less competitive, we've eliminated a team that would have made the race more competitive. Any good official/organizer/federation should have looked at this situation and said, "yep... we should make sure you race," instead of leaning on a rule to reduce competition. Back to the "why isn't racing in the USA moving forward?" question. In France the ASO is called the "mafia du Tou de France," while here in the USA we've got just "the stupidity." Really wish you were "allowed" to ride the race you were there for. Hold it, "allowed"? WTF...
We should just combine teams, and between the two of us, we might not be half bad. If I was depressed about us not having enough guys to send, your situation puts it in perspective.
Also, we have a band of bike dorks here in Boston. Me, Logan Hodson, John Bruno, and Matt Roy. I play bass, but I'm the baby of the bunch; the other guys are all much better musicians than me. I have a fake Fender and a MetalZone dist. pedal, and I can only describe what we play as "dance metal," somewhere between Robert Trujillo and Bootsy. Andrew Weiss circa Rollins Band is the sounds I want to grow up to be some day.
You gotta stop playing with yourself, literally and figuratively, and find someone to play with if you wanna work your sound out.
Erik, "cock man" is a little harsh, but he's right. We been watchin you working to swing this little team stuff for a while, you got choices, dont forget that- let your wheels do the talkin.

Just move to Jersey, and beat up on all the CAT 1/2's with Durso!
Dude, you failed to mention the real reason they didn't let you guys in. Where was your 6th guy? There's 10 on the roster right?
Erok-
We made it all the way down to downers grove. We were all ready to see you get a result.
hopefully next year.
