This dude in Raleigh name John Deagle got shot with a blow gun or some shit while he was riding a year or two ago... Some sort of dart. Hit in in the hand and fucked up his knuckle pretty good.
At TT nats last year some guys threw a handful of popper firecrackers at me just before I got to the big hill, hitting my whole right side, helmet, face, etc. I thought, what the F#@*!, I know I can't TT that well but you don't have to throw firecrackers at me!

Or maybe I just have some weird adware that makes pop-ups come up anytime I visit a cycling website with the letters "undies, so warm" in the URL? WTF?!?! This is a low down dirty way to make money. What's next? A signature line of Hydrapacks?
a (stupid) friend of mine actually paint ball sniper'ed a cyclist out of the back of a pot smoke filled chevy bronco when we were in the 11th grade. the cyclist caught up with the car at the light, pulled said retarded friend out of the car and beat the living S out of him. it was probably the quickest case of karma catching up with someone ever.
I thought the firecrackers would help "Nate" go faster. But I was wrong.. Next year I will be using rocks.. When I start throw them I did'nt think it would be that funny. When the firecrackers started hitting you "oh" Fuck I lost it. It was the funnies shit I did in a long time!!!!
This is why I carry a spyderco when I ride. People are more afraid of knives than guns. Some mother fucker shots me with a pellet gun, its on. I will gut them like a fucking pig. I like to do that shit straight up, so just give me a reason to cut you. A wear shatter proof oakley's, so you can't shoot my eyes out, and sure those pellets sting, but that just makes more mother fucking angry. Besides the best is when I chase people with sticks when they get dropped at Bryan Park every week. And that's a fact.
the thing with guns is that you have to be ready to kill somebody... after i talk to a lot of guys about it they would just walk away anyway but need the gun to feel good about it and not feel like a weak punk for walking away...
either way its the same thing... making a choice not to escalate a situation...
once you have a gun out you should just use it in my opinion... but hey.. things very rarely get brought to that level and there is nothing worse than when guys with no balls start pulling guns...

Sometimes I get made fun of for riding with a "fanny-pack" but that's only by people who don't know what's inside.

And it's unfortunate but the only solution at this point to the gun problem in the US is more guns. All the bad guys have them so I might as well too.
