Look damnit, just because everyone living between Montreal and Boston is a bunch of snotty assholes with weird accents doesn't give you the right to lump us all together as one race of people.
Wait, what? Oh, THAT Boston-Montreal...
It's not as random as one might think, the course has been used for years as an annual Randonee, although they went Montreal-Boston-Montreal after the first one because it didn't seem right to have more entusiastic spectators at the start than at the finish. It's WAY more popular with the Dirt-frenchies.
With the population density and numbers of cycling enthusaists, I'm surprised there aren't more high-profile races up here.
I'll have beer and barbecue (and some spare beds) at my house if anyone is interested...
Yeah, the canucks have been all over this thing. We're close enough to the border that I get allot of the news about this from Pedal and The Ride magazines. I haven't seen nearly as much in CyclingNews, VeloNews, or Bicycling about it but our friends to the north are promising/expecting a great 2.1 UCI classic outta this thing.
I guess I just find that interesting/suspicious.
Pedal mag has been leaking tidbits here and there about the planned course. I get the impression that the US leg is a little behind in planning and organization.
Is the first week in August really the best time for this?
